As a college student I contributed to my University's daily publication called "The Daily Cougar" where I wrote several columns for art, food and entertainment. I also had my own column called "Dining on a Dime."
I wrote several articles during my externship at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, where I practiced my news AP style writing skills.
After my college career, I continued to follow my love in journalism and art.
In my free time I took courses in poetry and surrealism writing, volunteered with church organizations in designing their layout of their publications or contributing to articles.
